Forward to a friend » September 1, 2009 DODGERS ACQUIRE THOME, GARLAND The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired infielder Jim Thome from the Chicago White Sox for Minor Leaguer Justin Fuller. The club has also announced that it has acquired starting pitcher John Garland from the Arizona Diamondbacks for a player to be named later. Both players are eligible to play in the postseason.
